Default why is this forum so small?

I just feel like more people should be in this forum. The record for max # of people logged in at the same time was like 372... that's ridiculously low.

Good Question. Any Ideas to offer?
We get great hit rates in Google Searches
Lots of new people sign up, about 50% are robots and 25% automatons

The remaining 25% should be building a base of success oriented people but they leave, never post or just lurk.

If you look at some of the larger and better known Success and PD sites, they also have a small core of members that last and a large transient population.

I tend to be active on sites I find value and I often find it to be the case that people come and people go, there is a core group that stays and it is not necessarily restricted to PD. I am very active in several runners groups and see the same issues. I Mentor Barefoot running on a site and the people that come, stay for awhile and move on. Maybe they are all getting successful and we are just miserable failures.
We are the Martyrs of change

I didn't say better I said "larger and better known"
Language can be tricky, there aren't "better" success forums.

Actually I think that's pretty good as it is. I know of some that don't even get that many in a day. You must have some forums in mind of such magnitude? Are they success oriented related?

the answer is simple, most people dont want to look at/deal with their short-comings :P

OR, they have better things to do than be on a forum o_o (either or) LOL

LOL!

Yes, but according to the thread starter he or she knows of some other forums whereas having "372 people logged in at the same time" would be considered "ridiculously low."

The OP was referring to Successvibe and the stats on the main page

There are some pros and some cons to this forum being so small. This is the smallest board that I participate in. Bodybuilding.com is the biggest forum that I am a member of. I like that BB.com is so active and there are hundreds of threads for me to read through on a daily basis if I wanted to, but its also much more difficult to truly establish a bond with any of the members the way I have here.

I do wish there was more participation here, but I like that I can actually count some of the members here as my friends. Some of them I have known for over five years and have seen me through some ups and downs.

Personally i think we have just the right amunt of people and a good cross reference of character and history and probably more importantly heart.

I believe the larger the forum, some times can be worse than better, you ask a question and get bombarded with the answers.
Here we kind of know a fair amount of each others history and can compare, and also we have been through a lot here and know who's word is worth listening too and who's is not
Not much happens in life that some one here has not faced and even if they didn't win the battle some times its nice to hear of there battle and were the flaws where

Like other posters have said, it is nice that it is on the small side. We are all very close to one another here. Most of us, have known one another for about 6 years now. In fact, we came from a much larger site to this one! There is a lot of up side to a larger site, however there is a down side too. Lots of fights, flame wars, chaos and discontent.... Here, we are a pretty big, happy family around here. We always welcome new comers, those that stay around find a lot to like about this place. Stick around a while, perhaps you too, will see that BIG isn't always better.
