Come and try to beat me…… It’s not easy for men to lose my spirit and soul.

Quote: No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you; we are victims of evil customs. It is a crime against humanity that our women are shut up within the four walls of the houses as prisoners. There is no sanction anywhere for the deplorable condition in which our women have to live.” – Muhammad Ali Jinnah, 1944.

It has not been so long since Pakistani CII (Council of Islamic Ideology) gave the man’s authority to beat their wives lightly. Publicly widely criticized the Fatwa of CII and brutally mocked it on social media and other media outlets. Now, the Pakistani woman is openly challenging man by asking him to try to beat me. Proper motivational trainings and inspirational lectures delivered by the successful women in their fields, dramas on women’s personality development on Pakistani media and leadership coaching available in Universities and job places have created this awareness in the women and now, we can see that the minds of the society are changing.

According to UNDP, Pakistan ranks 146th out of 187 countries on the Human Development Index (HDI), at 0.537 as against the South Asia average of 0.588 and the global average of 0.702.

It is very relevant to mention here that, according to the CIA World Fact Book, Pakistan ranks among the top 30 countries of the world (from a list of 225) with the highest infant mortality rate (i.e. average no. of deaths for every 1000 live births). While high infant mortality may primarily be the due unavailability of working medical facilities in rural areas, a secondary cause is the lack of knowledge among rural women regarding childbirth or the financial autonomy needed to seek better health care outside villages.

As a result, Pakistan loses nearly 54 newborn children for every 1000 that live. It has been noted that many of these deaths would be prevented if proper care is given to the mother in the form of higher investment in maternal health during pregnancy; In India, as policy measures have been put in place to provide financial help to pregnant mothers and in some cases mandatory maternal leave, the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) has been brought down to 30, which was until the 1960s as high as Pakistan’s.

Now a days current scenario is changing because of education, give a right to women by giving awareness through the media and with other many other ways.

Nobody doesn’t think that my this is a campaign will only focus on the working ladies, models, actresses, athletes ad sportswomen, rather it would feature a lady who works in the fields, who is a housewife and who makes the necessary task of bringing new life to the world.

In this my thoughtful campaign I am not going to forget my inspirational ladies who sacrifice in their life’s like Fatima Jinnah, Arfa karim (young IT specialist) Maryam Mukhtiar Shaheed (1st woman GDP pilot), Benazir Bhutto(first female Prime Minister in Muslim countries) and etc.

I am looking a bright future of Pakistani woman in our society if I will see Pakistan government have taken many measures to enhance the participation of women in the economic sphere, but instead of all this, there is a dire need to upgrade the status of women in society and it is only possible through giving them protection legally and mentally. She should be given access and control over resources. An effective mechanism should be institutionalized to enable the women in decision making at all levels.
